The Distance Education System of the Central University of Venezuela – SEDUCV, is an academic administrative unit of the UCV, responsible for the development of distance education of our university, as well as the systematization of experiences around this modality ; constituting itself in support of the entire academic structure.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing to our users with a safe and functional virtual learning environment. This Statement of Privacy applies to our website Campus Virtual UCV (CVUCV) and governs data collection and usage.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it
CVUCV Personal Account
By registering, entering and using our services you will be required to provide us with a certain amount of personal information such as your name, last name, email. We will not disclose any of your personal information to any other person or organization without your written consent unless authorized or required by law.
Comments in our website
When visitors leave comments on the website, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymous string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile image is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images or documents to CVUCV, you should avoid uploading images with location data (EXIF GPS) included. Other users can download and extract any location data from images on the web.
Google Meet for Moodle
Google Meet for Moodle is a Moodle plugin, with which teachers can schedule and give Google Meet meeting in their courses. And for this Google requires to set up a verification process because of Sensitive Scopes such as Google Drive and Google Calendar, but no Google user information is accessed, stored, shared, or used in any way by us with a third party or anyone else.
We haven’t access to users Google drive or Google calendar. Google drive information for creating or for watching the recording videos will not be accessed. Google drive and Google calendar information is only available to the user who created the meeting.

A cookie is a data file that is placed on your computer by a web page server. Cookies are not programs, spyware or viruses and are unable to perform any operation by themselves.
In order to use the CVUCV, you must have cookies enabled within your browser. Please note that no personal information is stored within the cookies used in our website.

As CVUCV users you are able to determine what personal information you make available to others. By default, unless assigned administrator or staff access rights, a user may only view your display name and your default profile picture. This includes listings within a notification report or visitor log.
We may also collect system usage for statistical purposes. However this data will not identify any individual.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information we hold is not subject to loss or misuse or unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration.
In order to help protect your personal information, please do not disclose your username or password to any person.
